Software Development at Vernalis

The Informatics team at Vernalis is committed to producing software tools that help our scientists make better decisions, quicker. The team is also actively involved in collaborations with commercial cheminformatics software companies, and in open-source software communities.

knime

KNIME (www.knime.org) is an open-source platform that enables automation of complex data processing 'workflows'. Researchers at Vernalis are making extensive use of KNIME, and are actively involved in the KNIME community, and in the development of new nodes (the 'building-blocks' of workflows for KNIME.

Vernalis KNIME nodes

A set of Vernalis KNIME nodes have been released under an open-source software licence (GPLv3), allowing other KNIME users to download and use the functionality for free.  It is also of note that the nodes meet KNIME’s ‘Trusted Community Contribution’ criteria (http://tech.knime.org/trusted-community-contributions), indicating that the code is considered robust for use in production environments.

For further details, and information on installing the Vernalis KNIME nodes, please see our KNIME Community page.  You can also find out more, and ask questions on the forum, or contact the Vernalis KNIME developers directly by email (This email address is being protected from spambots.
